Sustainable and Innovative Packaging Solutions in the Fashion Industry: Global Report

The fashion industry generates packaging waste through the entire supply chain. Although brands are making efforts to improve sustainability as demands for low-impact rising, there is a lack of empirical evidence innovative solutions among retailers. This study represents first global report on sustainable innovation in sector. A data-mining approach was utilized gather sample 400 international that advertise across five continents. solution evaluated each brand based three factors: mission, availability data, and actual package. results showed 57% have made evident progress area; 34% initiated transition from conventional improved packaging; remaining committed rethink (1%) or (8%) their future. By providing comprehensive state-of-the-art about practical achievements field, this intends help academics practitioners evaluate environmental, social, economic impacts existing products design circular minimizes these impacts.
